OyaPoint
Last updated: 30 October 2026 · Version 1.1
Please read these terms carefully. They explain how OyaPoint works, what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and when money can and can't be refunded.
1. Definitions
- "OyaPoint", "we", "us", "our" — OyaPoint, a registered business in Nigeria.
- "Service" — the OyaPoint app and website and everything we do through them.
- "You", "User" — anyone who uses the Service, including a parent or guardian acting for a child.
- "Account" — your OyaPoint sign-in and the profile, wallet, documents, orders and chat that belong to it.
- "Wallet" — the naira balance in your Account, used to pay for services and bills.
- "Order" — a service you ask us to do (for example JAMB registration, NIN modification or CAC registration), including price-on-request and custom orders.
- "Bill" — an instant purchase: airtime, data, electricity, TV, exam PINs, JAMB e-PINs and betting wallet top-ups.
- "Partner" — a third party that helps us deliver a service, such as a government agency, exam body, bank or service provider.
- "Content" — anything you upload or send, such as documents, photos and chat messages.
2. Accepting these terms
By creating an Account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
You must be 18 or older to open an Account in your own name, or be under 18 and use it with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Betting wallet top-ups are strictly for people aged 18 and over (see section 6).
3. Your Account
- Give true, current and complete details, and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password and sign-in codes private. You are responsible for everything done through your Account.
- Don't create an Account in someone else's name, or order for someone else, without their permission (or, for a child, as their parent or guardian).
- Tell us straight away at hello@amojuto.ng if you think someone else has used your Account.
- We may suspend or close an Account that breaks these terms, is used for fraud, or puts others at risk.
4. How our services work
Orders
- Each service shows its price (or "on request"), what we need from you, and a usual time to finish. Some services show a notice you must read and agree to first.
- Many services are completed by, or depend on, government agencies, exam bodies, banks and other Partners (for example JAMB, NIMC, CAC, WAEC, NECO, NABTEB and NIBSS). Times shown are estimates. Delays caused by a Partner's systems, rules or downtime are outside our control.
- We may ask you for more information or a clearer document. Orders can't progress until you reply.
- Final decisions belong to the relevant authority. For example, CAC decides whether a business name is approved, and NIMC decides whether a modification is accepted. We can't guarantee their outcome.
Price-on-request and custom orders
- For some services (and for custom requests in Chat with OyaPoint), you send a request first and we reply with a price.
- You pay only if you accept the price. You can cancel a request any time before paying.
Bills
- Bills are delivered instantly or within minutes through our Partners. Airtime, data and tokens are sent to the number, meter or account you enter. Check it carefully; we can't reverse a delivery to a wrong number you entered.
Checking someone else's details
- Some services check NIN or BVN records. Use them only for yourself, or for someone who has agreed to it (or as a child's parent or guardian). Don't use the Service to look up people without their permission.
5. Payments, the Wallet and refunds
Paying
- Prices are in Nigerian naira (₦) and are shown before you pay. We may change prices at any time; the price you saw when you paid is the price you pay for that Order.
- Services and Bills are paid from your Wallet. The full price is taken when you place the Order or Bill (or when you accept a price-on-request).
The Wallet
- Your Wallet holds naira for use on OyaPoint. It isn't a bank account and doesn't earn interest.
- Refunds go back to your Wallet straight away unless we agree otherwise.
- To withdraw an unused Wallet balance, ask us by email or in Chat. We pay it to a bank account in your own name after checking it's you. Any bank transfer charge comes off the amount sent.
Refunds
- If we or our Partners can't complete an Order or Bill, you get a full refund to your Wallet. For Bills this happens automatically when the Partner confirms the failure.
- Once we have submitted your Order to the relevant agency or exam body (for example JAMB, NIMC, CAC, WAEC, NECO or NABTEB), the fee can't be refunded. That fee has been paid on your behalf, and the request is out of our hands.
- Delivered items can't be refunded: airtime, data, electricity tokens, TV subscriptions, exam PINs, JAMB e-PINs and betting top-ups, once delivered.
- Wrong details: you are responsible for the details you give us. If a NIN modification (or a similar service where the notice says so) comes back because your details were wrong or incomplete, a ₦500 charge applies to resubmit it. No refund is due for a rejection caused by wrong details you gave.
- Specific services may have extra refund conditions shown in their notice before you order (for example, BVN modification). Those conditions form part of these terms.
- Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 that can't be excluded by contract.
6. Betting wallet top-ups (18+ only)
- Betting top-ups are only for people aged 18 and over. By using them you confirm that you are at least 18 and that betting is legal for you.
- We only send money to the betting account you choose. We are not a betting operator. We don't take part in or control any bet, and we're not responsible for wins, losses or the betting company's decisions. The betting company's own terms apply.
- A service fee is shown before you pay and isn't refundable once the top-up is delivered.
- Gamble responsibly. Only stake what you can afford to lose. Betting can be addictive. If it's causing you or your family harm, stop and get help. We may refuse or limit top-ups where we suspect underage or harmful use.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- give false information or fake, forged or someone else's documents;
- use the Service for fraud, identity theft, money laundering or any illegal purpose;
- look up or use another person's NIN, BVN or personal details without their consent;
- harass, threaten or abuse our staff or others in Chat with OyaPoint, or send unlawful, offensive or harmful content;
- try to get around security, access other people's accounts or data, or interfere with the Service;
- copy, scrape or reverse-engineer the Service, or use bots or automated tools on it without our written permission.
We may refuse an Order, remove Content, or suspend or close an Account that breaks these rules. Where the law requires it, we may report illegal activity to the authorities.
8. Your content and our rights
- You keep ownership of the documents, photos and messages you send. You give us permission to store, use and share them only as needed to provide the Service, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
- You confirm you have the right to share everything you upload.
- The OyaPoint name, logo, app design and software belong to us. You may not copy or use them without our written permission.
- Files we deliver to you (for example slips and certificates) are for your personal and lawful use.
9. Ending your use of the Service
- You can stop using the Service and ask us to close your Account at any time. Any unused Wallet balance is handled as described in section 5.
- We may suspend or close your Account if you break these terms, if we must for legal reasons, or if we stop offering the Service. Where we can, we'll give notice and refund any unused Wallet balance.
- After closing, we keep some records as our Privacy Policy explains. Sections 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12 and 15 continue to apply.
10. No guarantees
We work hard to keep the Service running and to do every Order well. But the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We can't promise it will always be available or error-free, or that a Partner or authority will act within a certain time or approve a request. This doesn't limit any guarantee that Nigerian consumer law says can't be excluded.
11. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows:
- our total liability to you for any claim about an Order or Bill is limited to the amount you paid us for that Order or Bill;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost opportunities, lost profits or missed deadlines caused by a Partner's delay or decision;
- we are not liable for problems caused by wrong information you gave, or by events outside our reasonable control (such as network outages, government system downtime, strikes or natural events).
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
12. Indemnity
You agree to cover OyaPoint for losses, claims and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your breach of these terms, your Content, false information or documents you give, or your misuse of someone else's personal details.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the "Last updated" date and, for important changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept them. If you don't agree, please stop using the Service and contact us to close your Account.
14. Severability
If any part of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in full force.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If there's a dispute, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If that doesn't work within 30 days, either of us may refer it to mediation, and then to the courts of Nigeria with the right jurisdiction.
